ICF collaborates with the Korean art community through AR Studio and AR Cookie.

ICF (CEO Seo Young-ho), a resident company of the Digital Content Enterprise Growth Support Center, announced that it will collaborate with domestic artists based on its AR (Augmented Reality) application, “AR COOKIE” (hereafter, AR COOKIE), and its 3D digitalization technology.

Since its founding in 2011, ICF has been accumulating design and planning capabilities in the field of 3D graphics. This expertise has enabled ICF to collaborate on the development and production of facilities, architecture, and products requiring engineering expertise, earning it a high reputation in the domestic industry.

ICF, with the goal of securing cutting-edge technologies for the Fourth Industrial Revolution as its primary focus, has actively engaged in R&D in the fields of AR, VR (virtual reality), and AI (artificial intelligence) in recent years. Based on the patents and core technologies acquired through these efforts, ICF launched the 3D content creation platform “AR STUDIO” (hereafter, AR Studio) and the AR viewer app “AR COOKIE” in 2023.

ICF, which is pursuing an AR platform service business, is reportedly expanding the user base of AR Studio, which enables easy AR content creation for everyone from artists and designers to professionals, individuals, businesses, and even general users.

A “digital palette” platform, AR Studio digitizes real-world objects using 3D scanning technology, processes and optimizes them with AI models, and then creates 3D objects and content. AR Studio supports 360-degree 3D objects, along with the addition of separate graphic effects and background music. The core of AR Studio’s mission is to transform content into “AR art” that demonstrates synesthetic characteristics.

AR Studio supports the creation of high-quality AR art with a streamlined process. Users can also issue AR codes for each piece of content. Users can then scan these codes with the AR Cookie app to easily view the AR art on their mobile devices. Based on these solutions, ICF plans to collaborate with domestic artists and expand AR art exhibitions, offering a more synesthetic experience than traditional art exhibitions.

ICF CEO Seo Young-ho explained, “ICF is accelerating the realization of its business with the goal of creating a new ecosystem and culture by incorporating AR into art. To this end, we have partnered with eight domestic artists, including Byun Seung-hoon, a modern Buncheong ware potter. We are collaborating to convert their works into AR content and host exhibitions both domestically and internationally.”

He continued, “Furthermore, we plan to launch a marketplace to promote the sale and popularization of AR art and support their creative activities by sharing the profits generated with our partner artists. Furthermore, we plan to expand the number of partner artists to up to 30 by 2025 and pursue AR art collaborations with international artists the following year, laying the foundation for innovation in the global art world.”

Meanwhile, ICF, a resident company of the Digital Content Enterprise Growth Support Center, established by the Ministry of Science and ICT and operated by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency and the Next Generation Convergence Content Industry Association, participates in customized consulting services related to technology commercialization and investment attraction, receiving expert advice tailored to the company’s needs. It also participates in networking programs for external promotional support and corporate collaboration, focusing on the growth of its technology business.
